About Me
- Name: Shira Salamone
Once upon a time, I belonged to a left-wing egalitarian Conservative synagogue, where I was one of a number of women who wore a tallit—and one of the few members who used an Orthodox prayer book (adding the Mothers, of course). Having moved since then, I now belong to a right-wing traditional Conservative synagogue, where I’m almost always the only woman wearing a tallit—and one of the few members who adds the Mothers. I seem destined to be forever . . . on the fringe.

We bought a box too. I had too many sweets for pesach - I'm dreading weighing myself at the gym tonight. Thanks again for the help Sunday. How did your chag go overall?
"too many sweets . . ." Don't ask! We'll be eating Pesach junk food for another month.
We were guests at two very nice sedarim. (My idea of a good seder is one with the Maggid in English and all the Hebrew songs, including Hallel, sung, not read. As is true when I'm praying, I don't like anything "speed-davvened.") Overall, what with all the leftovers we ended up taking home, we were almost too well fed. :)
I hope the memories were as sweet as the orange peels.
Rivster, thanks. Indeed they were.
